Conditions

What do we treat at CRNQ?

If you have any of these symptoms, a clinical evaluation will help confirm the diagnosis and decide if non-surgical treatment is right for you.

Knee osteoarthritis

Causes: Progressive wear of the joint cartilage, common after age 50 or repeated injuries.

Common symptoms:

  • Pain that worsens with activity
  • Morning stiffness
  • Crepitus when moving

How we treat it: Joint decompression reduces mechanical friction and stiffness, combined with cold laser, ultrasound and targeted physical therapy.

Meniscus tears

Causes: Meniscal fibrocartilage injury from sudden twists, sports overload or degeneration.

Common symptoms:

  • Pain when twisting the knee
  • Locking sensation
  • Recurring swelling

How we treat it: Decompression aims to lower joint pressure to support natural tissue repair, often avoiding or postponing arthroscopic surgery.

Patellar tendinopathy

Causes: Overuse of the patellar tendon — common in active people and athletes (jumper's knee).

Common symptoms:

  • Pain below the kneecap
  • Worse going up stairs or jumping
  • Tenderness when touching the tendon

How we treat it: Decompression, cold laser and physical therapy to reduce inflammation and reorganize tendon fibers. Ideal case for upcoming focused shock wave.

Chronic knee pain

Causes: Combination of arthritis, overweight, muscle weakness, malalignment or old unresolved injuries.

Common symptoms:

  • Pain lasting > 3 months
  • Limits walking, work or exercise
  • Painkillers don't help much

How we treat it: Integrative CRNQ plan: decompression + physical modalities + active physical therapy + cranial release.

Post-surgical recovery

Causes: Rehabilitation period after arthroscopy, joint replacement or other knee surgery.

Common symptoms:

  • Post-surgery stiffness
  • Residual pain
  • Trouble regaining strength and mobility

How we treat it: Non-surgical decompression helps restore mobility and ease tension in surrounding ligaments, speeding the return to activity.

Overuse injuries & soft tissue inflammation

Causes: Repetitive activity, poorly dosed training or high-impact work tasks.

Common symptoms:

  • Diffuse pain
  • Recurring swelling
  • Warmth in the joint

How we treat it: Joint offloading, inflammation control with cold laser and ultrasound, and re-education of the sports or work gesture.

Warning signs

Seek emergency care if you have: a very swollen, hot knee with fever, visible deformity after impact, inability to bear any weight, or loss of sensation in the foot. These signs require immediate medical evaluation.
